YELLOW and RED by James Ransome sell to Knopf (Agent: Erica Rand Silverman)

Esther Cajahuaringa at Knopf has bought world rights to two picture books by Nana Ekua Brew-Hammond, Yellow and Red. These two picture books explore the history and cultural significance of the color through time. Yellow will be illustrated by Children's Literacy Legacy Award winner James Ransome for publication in summer 2026. Red will be illustrated by Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe Award winner Briana Mukodiri Uchendu for publication in fall 2027. John Rudolph at Dystel, Goderich & Bourret represented the author, Erica Rand Silverman at Stimola Literary Studio represented Ransome, and Jessica Saint Jean while at Jill Grinberg Literary Management represented Uchendu.
